Siemens joins aireg aviation renewable energy initiative

Siemens has joined aireg – Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany e. V., a network dedicated to sustainable energy in the German aviation sector. The company aims to contribute its technological expertise to the entire Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) value chain.

As the production of SAF at an industrial scale requires advanced technology, infrastructure, and processes, Siemens intends to use its experience in automation and industrial processes to support the transition. The partnership is viewed as a signal of the growing industrial importance of sustainable aviation fuels in Germany's efforts toward aviation climate neutrality.
