Siemens Mobility secures major rail contracts in Belgium and Germany

Siemens Mobility has secured several significant contracts and partnerships within the rail sector. The company signed an 11-year framework agreement worth approximately €215 million with the Belgian rail infrastructure operator Infrabel. This deal focuses on modernizing and maintaining the Operational Control System (OCS) to enhance digital rail operations, cybersecurity, and the rollout of the European Train Control System (ETCS).

In Germany, Siemens Mobility will supply 56 regional trains to BeNEX for the Mainfranken network. The order includes 26 Desiro HC and 30 Mireo trains, which will feature advanced safety systems like ETCS and PZB, as well as digital connectivity via Siemens’ Railigent platform. Additionally, Siemens has expanded its research collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to advance automated rail technologies.

On the financial side, JPMorgan Chase & Co. maintained an ‘Overweight’ rating for Siemens, citing strong demand prospects in AI infrastructure, semiconductors, and industrial hardware. This positive outlook follows recent operational growth and the company's ongoing share buyback program.
