Siemens shares face pressure amid economic headwinds

Siemens shares faced downward pressure due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, rising oil prices, and weakening economic data in Germany. Specifically, German industrial orders fell by 10.6 percent in August compared to the previous month, impacting the cyclical technology group.

Evercore ISI downgraded the Siemens stock from ‘Outperform’ to ‘In Line’ on October 2, while maintaining a price target of 315 euros. Analysts suggested that expected margin improvements in the Digital Industries and Smart Infrastructure divisions are largely already priced into the stock and noted limited profit growth expectations through fiscal year 2027.

Despite recent volatility, the stock maintains a long-term upward trend. Technical indicators show the stock has been consolidating, with support levels identified around 256 to 258 euros and a resistance zone between 286 and 291.70 euros.
