Siemens to invest $200M in U.S. manufacturing for AI data centers

Siemens is investing more than $200 million to establish two new manufacturing facilities in the United States, located in Pendergrass, Georgia, and Grand Prairie, Texas. The expansion aims to increase production capacity for electrical infrastructure specifically designed for AI-related data center projects, including equipment used to distribute, monitor, and control power.

The investment is expected to create more than 1,500 jobs. In Georgia, the new approximately 550,000-square-foot facility in Jackson County is projected to create over 1,400 jobs in engineering, fabrication, assembly, and testing roles, with hiring planned to begin in 2027.

This move follows Siemens' recent announcement of a €300 million investment in its German factories to meet rising demand. The company reported significant growth in its data center business, with orders reaching approximately €6 billion during the first nine months of its current fiscal year.
