Siena hosts centenary games for Gruppo Sportivo Senio

The Contrada della Tartuca is organizing the “Giochi del Centenario” (Centenary Games) in Siena to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Gruppo Sportivo Senio, founded in 1926.

Scheduled for September 19 at the Prato di Sant’Agostino, the event will feature a variety of sporting competitions including men’s and women’s football, basketball, and relay running. The day-long program is designed to foster community and socialization through sports, food stands, and musical entertainment. This event marks the first of several celebrations, with a theatrical production titled “GS Senio. Una storia senese” planned for November 14, 2026, at the Teatro dei Rozzi.
