Siena renews collaboration pact for Camollia 85 green area

The City of Siena, the Comitato Area Verde Camollia 85, and the Fondazione Accademia Musicale Chigiana – Impresa Sociale have renewed a collaboration agreement to maintain and enhance the Camollia 85 green area. Signed on August 31, the three-year pact builds upon a previous agreement established in 2017.

The Camollia 85 area, owned by the Accademia Chigiana and located near the current Siena Civil Court, will undergo maintenance, regeneration, and beautification. The Comitato Area Verde Camollia 85 will lead these efforts through volunteers who will handle cleaning, vegetation care, and minor maintenance tasks.

A key component of the agreement is increasing public access to the space. The area is intended to be open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 19:00 and Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00, with provisions for guided tours during other times.
