The Province of Siena and the Tuscany Region have signed the 'Agreement for the relaunch of the Siena territory,' a strategic protocol designed to anticipate industrial crises and protect employment. This initiative is noted as the first of its kind in Tuscany and one of the first in Italy.

Promoted by the Province of Siena and the Tuscany Region, the agreement involves a broad coalition including trade unions (CGIL, CISL, UIL), the Chamber of Commerce, the MPS Foundation, local universities, and all municipalities in the area. The goal is to move from reactive emergency management to proactive governance of economic processes.

The agreement establishes a Permanent Coordination Table, chaired by the Province, focusing on five key pillars: crisis prevention and job protection, scouting new investments, active labor policies and training, strategic infrastructure planning, and the protection of credit and the real economy. Additionally, a specific working group will address credit and labor issues related to Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena.
