SIER investigates alleged wastewater discharge at PIER

PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER) is investigating allegations of wastewater discharge by PT Veolia Services Indonesia at the Pasuruan Industrial Estate Rembang (PIER). In response to the reports, SIER management conducted field inspections, cleaned drainage channels, and is evaluating waste treatment systems.

SIER Operations Director Yohanes Deddy Setiawan stated that the company is treating environmental information with serious attention. Management is currently seeking clarification and supporting data from the involved company to verify the actual conditions. While visual inspections showed murky or dark water in the drainage, officials noted that a definitive conclusion regarding pollution must be based on verified facts and formal examination results.
