Sierra de María-Los Vélez hosts sixth edition of ‘La Burrica Trail’

The sixth edition of ‘La Burrica Trail’ mountain race took place in the Sierra de María-Los Vélez Natural Park. Juan Javier Jiménez and Ana María Torrecillas were named winners of the Trail category.

Organized by the Club Deportivo Villa de María in collaboration with the Almería Provincial Council and the local City Council, the event has been integrated into the X Provincial Mountain Running Circuit of Almería and the 2026 Almería Popular Traverse Cup. Local officials noted that the event serves to promote the natural environment and stimulate the local economy of interior municipalities.
