FC Augsburg player Juma Bah targeted by racist abuse and death threats

FC Augsburg defender Juma Bah has been subjected to vile racist abuse and death threats on Instagram following a Bundesliga match against Union Berlin. The 20-year-old Sierra Leonean international, currently on loan from Manchester City, reportedly received threats directed not only at himself but also at his family.

FC Augsburg expressed shock at the incident, stating they are pursuing all legal options and will report the matter to the police. The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) also issued a strong condemnation, describing the behavior as unacceptable in both football and society. The SLFA emphasized that such intimidation undermines the core values of respect and inclusion that the sport represents.

Various Bundesliga clubs and players have expressed solidarity with Bah. The incident occurred following a match where Bah received a red card in the 63rd minute.
