Sierra Leone Police seize suspected Kush in Aberdeen raid

The Sierra Leone Police arrested two suspects and seized a large quantity of suspected Kush during an intelligence-led raid in Aberdeen, Freetown. The operation, conducted on Sunday, 23 August 2026, targeted a makeshift structure behind Kabba Garage believed to be used for processing and distributing the substance.

Authorities apprehended Mohamed Sheku Kamara and his fiancée, Isata Kamara. During the raid, officers recovered 858 items suspected to be Kush, including 645 pink wraps, 203 blue wraps, and 10 sachets. Additional items confiscated included a weighing scale, a blender, scissors, rolling papers, and Gold Seal cigarettes.

The suspects and the seized materials have been transferred to the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) for further investigation.
