Sierra Leonean football clubs secure victories in local and regional competitions

Bakoteh United Football Academy (BUFA) won the Manjai Sports Association Lamin Kaba Bajo 2026 Super Cup after a 1-0 victory against Box BI. The match, held at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai, was marked by heavy rain. Salieu Goodje secured the win for BUFA with a header in the 22nd minute.

In regional competition, Sierra Leonean side Star Sport Academy secured a 2-0 win against Malian club AS Real Bamako in the West Africa Champions Cup. The match took place at the Stade M’Ballou Mady in Kankan, Guinea. Following a scoreless first half, substitute Senesie Janneh scored a header in the 60th minute, followed by a goal from Hindovie Turker eight minutes later to secure the victory.
