Sierra Madre Gold and Silver expands La Guitarra mining complex

Sierra Madre Gold and Silver Ltd. is expanding its La Guitarra silver-gold complex located in the Estado de México region of Mexico. The company’s processing plant has achieved a peak throughput of up to 720 tonnes of ore per day following technical adjustments to crushing and grinding circuits. This represents a 44 percent increase over the original nominal capacity of 500 tonnes per day.

Looking ahead, the company plans to commission an additional ball mill in November 2026. Sierra Madre is targeting a further expansion phase with a processing capacity of between 1,200 and 1,500 tonnes per day, which would triple the original plant capacity. The company is also evaluating Del Toro as a potential second production site to support its growing processing base.
