Sierra Madre Gold reports cash flow and expansion plans at Mexico's La Guitarra mine
Sierra Madre Gold & Silver Ltd., a junior mining company focused on Mexico, announced that its La Guitarra silver‑gold complex generated operational cash flow in the first quarter of 2026. The company reported US$10.1 million in revenue, an adjusted EBITDA of US$2.8 million and cash flow from operations of US$3.5 million, while cash costs rose to US$42.55 per silver‑equivalent ounce.
The firm outlined a 30,000‑metre drilling program in the East District and a staged capacity increase at its processing plant. The first stage will raise throughput from about 500 t/d to 750‑800 t/d, with a second stage targeting 1,200‑1,500 t/d by the third quarter of 2027. Completion of the initial expansion is expected by the end of Q2 2026. The La Guitarra complex, located in the Temascaltepec district of Estado de México, includes several historic underground mines and a permitted plant.
