Sierra Nevada advances master plan and announces ski pass discounts

Sierra Nevada is advancing the second phase of its master plan to enhance its ski domain and urban connections. Cetursa, the public company managing the station, has opened a tender for specialized advisory services to define strategic actions. Key proposals include improving the Borreguiles beginner area, potentially establishing a new beginner zone in Loma de Dílar using 'Terrain Based Learning' models, and upgrading hospitality, restroom, and service facilities with a focus on accessibility for people with disabilities.

The plan also involves modernizing strategic lifts and studying new connections. This includes evaluating the installation of a new chairlift in Borreguiles or replacing the existing fixed-grip chairlift with a detachable model to reduce queues. Additionally, a conceptual study will analyze connections between the Virgen de las Nieves chairlift sectors, Borreguiles, and the Águila slope to improve functionality and accessibility.

In preparation for the 2026/2027 season, Cetursa has announced early bird discounts on ski passes. From September 15 to October 15, customers can receive a 20% discount on season passes and long-duration passes. The official season opening event, organized by the Federación de Deportes de Invierno (FADI), is scheduled for December 6 in Borreguiles.
