Sierre-Zinal mountain running: Kenyan sweep in men's race

Kenyan runner Philemon Kiriago secured his third victory at the Sierre-Zinal mountain running race in Switzerland, finishing with a time of 2:26:24. Kiriago achieved a full podium sweep for Kenya in the men's category, followed by Patrick Kipngeno in second place (2:26:56) and Michael Selelo Saoli in third (2:29:36). British runner Jacob Adkin held an early lead but ultimately finished fourth.

In the women's race, Romania's Madalina Florea prevented a Kenyan sweep by winning with a time of 2:55:44. Florea defeated the defending champion, Kenya's Caroline Kimutai, who finished second in 2:56:30. Morven Goodrum took third place.

The event, part of the Golden Trail World Series and the Mountain Running World Cup, featured a course covering approximately 31-32 km with roughly 2,200 meters of elevation gain through the Swiss Alps.
