Sifnos Municipality provides monthly 200 euro allowance to teachers

The Municipality of Sifnos has established a monthly food allowance of 200 euros for teachers serving on the island. This decision was made unanimously by the municipal council, taking into account the financial capacities of the small municipality.

The allowance is intended to provide financial relief for daily needs and serves as a symbolic recognition of the educators' work. Payments are processed through the Single Payment Authority (E.A.P.), provided that teachers submit the necessary receipts to the municipality's financial service.

In anticipation of the 2026-2027 school year, the municipality expressed its commitment to supporting teachers and providing necessary facilities to ensure they can carry out their professional duties effectively during their stay on the island.
