Sifnos named among Europe's top travel destinations for summer 2026

The Greek island of Sifnos has been highlighted by the travel and lifestyle magazine EnVols as one of Europe’s "diamonds" for the summer of 2026. The feature describes Sifnos as a discreet yet complete Cycladic gem, noting its well‑preserved pottery workshops, vibrant gastronomy linked to chef Nikolaos Tselemetis, and a range of pristine beaches such as Vathy and the extensive Platys Giros. It also cites cultural attractions including the 14th‑century castle, the Prophet Elias ridge, and traditional villages.

EnVols places Greece, represented by Sifnos, among five leading European destinations alongside Spain, Italy, Portugal and Croatia. Deputy Mayor of Tourism Giannis Rafeletos said, "This new exposure confirms that our island is gaining increasing attention from international markets thanks to authenticity, quality and its unique character."
