SIG SAUER launches new P385 pistol platform
SIG SAUER has officially launched the P385, a new pistol architecture that integrates technical elements from its P320 and P365 series. The new platform features a redesigned Fire Control Unit and a SIG Trigger Block intended to provide a smooth, clean trigger press.
Key technical improvements include a very low bore axis for enhanced controllability and a new recoil damping system. The P385 utilizes the MAGSTRAP grip module, which allows users to customize both grip length and hand size, and includes ReActive grip texturing. The pistols are optics-ready via the Sig-loc system.
The initial 9mm release includes five distinct models:
• Full: Features a 4.7-inch barrel. • Comp: Includes an integral compensator with two upper vents and a 4-inch barrel. • Mach3D: Equipped with a 3D-printed compensator and a 4-inch barrel. • Carry: A compact version with a 4-inch barrel and Full-size grip. • Compact: Features a 4-inch barrel and slide with a reduced frame height to accommodate a 15-round magazine.
Models will be available in Black or Coyote Brown, with options for manual safety. In the United States, starting prices are reported to be approximately $599.
