Sigma Olomouc signs Brazilian defender Leo Borges

Sigma Olomouc has completed the permanent transfer of Brazilian defender Leo Borges from the Polish club Pogoń Szczecin. The 25-year-old player is expected to bolster Sigma's defense, specifically providing depth at left-back.

Borges arrives in the Czech Republic with significant experience in the Polish Ekstraklasa, having made 94 league appearances for Pogoń Szczecin. During his time in Poland, he was a key figure in the team's defense and participated in two Polish Cup finals. His career also includes stints with Internacional Porto Alegre in Brazil and FC Porto B in Portugal.

Pavel Hapal, Sigma Olomouc's general sports manager, stated that Borges fits the team's profile due to his strength, speed, and ability to support offensive play. Borges expressed his readiness for the new challenge and his desire to continue developing his game in a new league.
