Sigma rumored to announce fp II camera and new 50mm lens

Sigma may announce the fp II full-frame camera and a new 50mm f/1.4 I-series lens as early as October 23.

Reports suggest the fp II will feature a 24-megapixel sensor, internal RAW video recording, and open gate capabilities. Unlike its predecessors, which utilized an optional external viewfinder, the new model is expected to include an integrated electronic viewfinder. The camera is rumored to use the L-mount and carry a price tag of approximately $2,500, positioning it as a competitor to the Sony FX5.

Additionally, rumors indicate the potential development of a 65mm f/1.1 or f/1.0 lens, which could become the world’s brightest full-frame autofocus lens.
