Signé Laval launches local heritage workshop series
Signé Laval has introduced ‘Cœur de quartier’, a new cultural mediation project designed to help residents rediscover their neighborhoods through personal archives, collective memory, and citizen narratives.
The initiative includes fourteen workshops scheduled across various districts in Laval. These sessions aim to facilitate dialogue between citizens and emblematic local heritage objects. The collected testimonies will be transformed into artistic legacies, including podcasts, video capsules, written stories, and illustrations to showcase the diverse experiences within the region.
The first phase begins this autumn with five workshops led by cultural mediator Lelia Sfeir. Upcoming sessions include a podcast recording in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul on September 17 and a discussion regarding the river's history in Laval-Ouest on October 3, which will feature a photographic report by Christian Fleury.
