Signal Veil horror game announced for PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, and PC

Serafini Productions and Time Hunters have announced Signal Veil, a third-person psychological survival horror game. The title is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the Nintendo Switch 2, though a specific release date has not yet been confirmed.

The story follows Aki Mizuno, a teenager investigating disappearances at Nishikawa High School following her mother’s mysterious disappearance. Aki utilizes a supernatural cellphone left by her mother to detect spiritual presences through vibrations, sounds, and visual interference. This device allows her to identify corrupted areas and clues invisible to the naked eye.

Gameplay focuses on observation and resource management rather than brute force. Players must use the phone’s flash or other methods to expose the weak points of hostile entities before they can be fought. Additionally, the game features a mechanic where Aki’s deteriorating emotional stability can distort her perception of reality, altering the environment and enemy behavior.
