Signal Veil survival horror game announced

Time Hunters and Serafini Productions have announced Signal Veil, a third-person survival horror game featuring a 1990s anime-inspired aesthetic. The game is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The narrative follows Aki Mizuno, a teenager investigating the mysterious disappearance of her mother at Nishikawa High School. The central gameplay mechanic revolves around a supernatural cellphone left by her mother, which serves as a tool for exploration, detection, and combat. The device uses vibrations, sounds, and interference to reveal spiritual presences and hidden memories.

Players must manage Aki’s emotional stability, as her deteriorating mental state can distort her perception of reality and alter the environment. Combat requires players to use the phone’s flash and other spiritual systems to expose the weak points of hostile entities born from emotional trauma before they can be fought.
