Signify launches budget WiZ HDMI sync kit for TV lighting
Signify, the parent company of Philips Hue and WiZ, has launched a budget-friendly alternative for dynamic TV lighting. The new kit features an HDMI 2.1 synchronization box and a flexible LED light strip, offering a digital solution that avoids the bulky camera sensors found in many other budget brands.
The set is available in two size variants: one for 55–65 inch screens and another for 75–85 inch screens. While it provides a significantly lower price point than the premium Philips Hue ecosystem, it lacks Hue’s Zigbee network, advanced ecosystem features, and expansion capabilities. Users should be careful when purchasing online, as an older WiZ model using HDMI 2.0 and 4K at 60 Hz is also available and offers lower LED density and fewer coverage sides.
