Sigtuna boarding school faces criminal investigation

Mazdak Sarvari, the boarding school manager at Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket, has expressed profound distress following criminal investigations involving several students at the institution.

Police are currently investigating multiple incidents that occurred during the autumn term. The investigation involves five suspects, three of whom are currently in custody. The allegations include serious offenses such as sexual harassment, aggravated assault, and unlawful coercion. Eight individuals have been identified as victims.

Sarvari stated that the school is working to understand if there were failures in routines or safety protocols, emphasizing that the institution operates on a humanist foundation of respect and compassion. He noted that while the school has focused heavily on safety and values-based work, the school must now get to the bottom of these events.
