Sigulda to host 20th anniversary Autumn Plant Parade

The 20th anniversary of the Autumn Plant Parade is scheduled to take place on September 19 in Sigulda, Latvia. Organized by the Latvian Plant Breeders Association in collaboration with the Sigulda municipality, the event is considered one of the most significant gardening industry gatherings in the country.

The parade aims to popularize Latvian-grown plants, strengthen the local nursery industry, and promote awareness regarding the importance of high-quality planting materials suited to local climatic conditions. The event serves as a gathering point for professional growers and garden enthusiasts from across Latvia.

Unlike spring events, the autumn parade allows visitors to see plants in their full decorative state, including autumn foliage colors, berries, and conifer tones. Andrejs Vītoliņš, chairman of the Latvian Plant Breeders Association, noted that the event is a celebration for all garden lovers.
