Siheung Art Center to open with performances by Lim Yunchan

The Siheung Art Center is set to officially open, marking the launch of the city's first professional performance venue. To celebrate the opening, the center will host 'S-HARMONY' on November 13, a collaborative performance featuring the Siheung City Choir, the Siheung City Children and Youth Choir, and the Siheung City Traditional Arts Group.

Renowned pianist Lim Yunchan, a native of Siheung, will perform a solo recital on November 28. His program will feature five Mozart piano sonatas, serving as a precursor to his upcoming Mozart cycle performances at Wigmore Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York. The center also has scheduled performances by the Korea National Opera, including 'La Traviata', in December.

The facility includes a 710-seat grand hall, a 304-seat small hall, exhibition rooms, and practice rooms. To encourage local engagement, Siheung City is offering pre-sale opportunities and a 50% ticket discount for Siheung residents.
