Siheung City to host 11th Youth Club Festival on October 17

The 11th Siheung City Youth Club Festival is scheduled to take place on October 17 at the Siheung City Hall parking area. Organized by the Siheung City Youth and Young Adult Foundation, the event will feature 584 youth clubs, an increase from 550 participating groups last year. Approximately 26,000 visitors are expected.

The festival is divided into two main areas: a ‘Carnival Zone’ featuring 155 experience booths—including photo booths, craft making, and slime play—and a ‘Music Festival Zone’ for various genre performances. New digital elements include an ‘AI Stamp Tour’ to encourage exploration of the venue. To increase participation, no preliminary auditions were held for the performances this year.

A significant highlight of this year's festival is its international dimension. Following an international exchange agreement, youth and young adult arts groups from the United Kingdom, specifically ‘Creative Youth’ and ‘Dillon Dance’, will participate to facilitate cultural exchange. Additionally, officials from Hachioji, Japan, are expected to attend as observers. The city aims to expand this local event into a broader international youth cultural exchange platform.
