Siheung City to host Sihewa Lake Day commemorative week

Siheung City will host a commemorative week for ‘Sihewa Lake Day’ from October 3 to 11, centered around Sihewa Lake and Turtle Island. The event, themed ‘Sihewa Lake, where staying becomes daily life,’ aims to showcase the lake's environmental value and restoration process through various ecological, cultural, and marine leisure programs.

Key activities include sunset relaxation zones at the Turtle Island Marina, yoga sessions, and walking programs such as slow jogging and sound Nordic walking. Marine leisure offerings feature yacht and kayak experiences, alongside a marina docent tour. Sports activities like laser shooting and various field games are also available for families.

To honor the 30th anniversary of the lake's creation, the city will host the ‘Sihewa Lake Discovery Exhibition’ and a national sketching contest. Cultural events, including busking, traditional arts performances, and a film festival, will complement the festivities.
