Siheung World Coffee Bean Festival to be held at Eungye Lake Park

The 4th Siheung World Coffee Bean Festival will be held from October 31 to November 1 at Eungye Lake Park in Siheung City. Selected as a regional specialized tourism festival support project, the event serves as a complex cultural festival showcasing global coffee and diverse cultures.

The program includes professional competitions such as the World Coffee Events (WCC), K-Coffee Award, a disabled barista championship, and a youth coffee brewing championship, alongside roasting, latte art, and tasting contests. New features include the ‘Coffee Workshop,’ where participants can create their own blended beans or drip bags using premium beans.

In addition to technical competitions, the festival integrates arts and international exchange. A special performance of Bach’s ‘Coffee Cantata’ will be held, and ambassadors from various coffee-producing nations will participate to introduce their countries' coffee cultures. The event also emphasizes social values, with organizations like Amnesty International and ChildFund participating to discuss environmental and community issues through the medium of coffee.
