Sijie Fude Temple hosts Mid-Autumn blessing ceremony

The 151-year-old Sijie Fude Temple in Wujie Township, Yilan, is collaborating with the Buddha Mother Peacock Wisdom King Cultivation Park from Sanxia, New Taipei City, to host a Mid-Autumn Festival blessing ceremony.

Key features of the event include the setup of a “Wealth God Table” to honor the deity, 3,000 bags of “Peace Rice Pagodas” symbolizing household security, and various ritual altars designed to pray for wealth and spiritual merit.

A major highlight scheduled for September 25 is a 2.5-kilometer procession featuring a “prostration grand worship” where devotees perform a “twelve steps, one bow” ritual. The event also includes a reenactment of the traditional rural custom “Tudigong patrolling the fields,” utilizing a traditional staff to honor the deity's protection of the land.
