Sikka earthquake relief efforts provide water and internet access

Following an earthquake in Sikka, Nusa Tenggara Timur, residents in Du Village are facing severe water shortages due to landslides that damaged local spring channels. In response, the Sikka Regency branch of Partai Perindo has distributed clean water supplies to the affected community. Herlindis Donatha Da Rato, Vice Chair of the Sikka Regency DPRD from the Perindo faction, personally oversaw the distribution, emphasizing that clean water is an urgent necessity while infrastructure repairs are pending.

In the centralized evacuation centers at Gelora Samador, connectivity has become a vital resource for displaced persons. Telkom Group has provided free WiFi to help refugees contact family members and access information. Additionally, Telkomsel is distributing daily internet vouchers and SIM cards to ensure evacuees can maintain communication and find relief through digital means during their stay in temporary shelters.
