Sikkim CM attends Vastu Puja of new Jan Seva Bhawan

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang attended the ‘Vastu Puja’ ceremony for the newly constructed Jan Seva Bhawan, also known as the Mini Secretariat, located at Lumsey in Gangtok.

The new facility, named ‘Jan Seva One’, is designed to house various government departments, including the Rural Development Department, Education Department, Health and Family Welfare Department, Sikkim Public Service Commission, and the Irrigation Department. The Chief Minister stated that the naming of the building aims to make government services more accessible to the public.

Construction costs for the project have reached ₹490 crore, with potential slight increases due to additional works such as extra canteens and a police booth. Tamang noted that the building follows a corporate-style design and that office space has been allocated based on designation in accordance with central government norms.
