Sikorsky receives $234 million U.S. Army contract for Black Hawk helicopters

The U.S. Army has issued a contract modification worth $234.46 million to Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, for the production of 16 new UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters.

This modification brings the total value of the existing procurement contract to $356.25 million. The production is scheduled to take place in Stratford, Connecticut, with a target completion date of June 30, 2028. The order is part of a broader effort by the U.S. Army to modernize its multi-purpose helicopter fleet by transitioning from older L-variant models to the more advanced digital M-variant.
