Silambarasan urges producers to support small Tamil films

Actor Silambarasan, also known as Simbu, has called on film producers to provide more support and an “extra push” to small-budget films to ensure they reach wider audiences. The actor made these remarks on social media following his viewing of the recently released Tamil rural comedy, ‘Modha Rathri’.

Directed by Raja Karuppasamy and starring Anishma Anilkumar and Rishikanth, the film is set during a single night at a village wedding. Silambarasan praised the film’s writing, humor, and realistic character portrayals, noting that while audiences often celebrate small films from other languages, Tamil films with fresh concepts and new teams deserve similar levels of love and support. He urged fans and cinema enthusiasts to watch the film in theaters to support the creative team.
