Silent Hill remake reportedly targeting 2027 release
Reports suggest that the remake of the original 1999 Silent Hill, currently under development by Bloober Team and Konami, is targeting a 2027 release window. The project, which has reportedly been in production since 2022, is being developed under the codename ‘Project Noise’ (or ‘Project G’ in some reports).
While official release dates have not been confirmed by Konami or Bloober Team, the projected timeline aligns with producer Motoi Okamoto’s stated strategy to release new titles within the franchise on an annual basis. This follows the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, which reportedly sold six million copies.
Initial details regarding the voice cast have also emerged. Actresses Gabrielle Fritz, known for work on ‘Battlefield 2042’ and ‘Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’, and Jade Matthew, a BBC voiceover artist known for ‘Dragon Nest’, are reportedly part of the cast. Their specific roles remain unconfirmed, though speculation suggests they may portray iconic characters such as Cybil Bennett, Lisa Garland, or Dahlia Gillespie. The casting for the protagonist, Harry Mason, remains unknown.
