Silent Hill: Townfall gameplay reveals first-person horror in Scotland
Konami, Annapurna Interactive, and Screen Burn Interactive have released approximately 19 minutes of new gameplay footage for Silent Hill: Townfall. The psychological horror title is set in the fictional Scottish fishing village of St. Amelia in 1996 and is scheduled for release on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC.
Marking a departure from previous entries, the game is played entirely from a first-person perspective. The footage highlights the central role of the CRTV, a portable television device that replaces the series' traditional radio. Players use the CRTV to tune into signals, solve environmental puzzles, and track the movement of monsters through walls and fog.
The gameplay demonstration follows protagonist Simon Ordell as he explores the fog-shrouded village and visits the home of a nurse named Zoe. The footage also showcases the transition into the “Otherworld,” a distorted, red-hued version of the town, where players must manage limited resources and engage in both stealth and combat using melee weapons and firearms.
