Silent Hill Townfall launches on PC and consoles

Silent Hill Townfall, the latest entry in the iconic survival horror franchise developed by Screen Burn Interactive, has launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. Set in the Scottish fishing village of St. Amelia, the game utilizes a first-person perspective to enhance tension, featuring high-quality volumetric fog and advanced lighting through Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen technology.

Technical analysis indicates a performance disparity between platforms. On PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, the game is described as visually polished and generally solid, despite occasional stuttering during cutscenes that can be mitigated with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). However, the PC version reportedly struggles and requires urgent patches to address performance issues. The game follows the story of Simon, who awakens in the North Sea with no memory, as he explores the scars of St. Amelia alongside characters like Zoe and Richard.
