Silent Hill: Townfall receives patch to address PC performance
Silent Hill: Townfall, the latest entry in the iconic horror franchise developed by Screen Burn, has introduced several departures from previous titles. Set on the fictional Scottish North Sea island of St. Amelia, the game features a first-person perspective and a narrative told through three different viewpoints, including the protagonist Simon Ordell and a nurse named Zoe Ellis.
Following its release, the game faced criticism regarding significant performance issues on PC. In response, developer Screen Burn has released patch 1.3.1, which specifically targets shader compilation problems to reduce stuttering and stabilize the experience for PC players. The developers have stated they are working to ensure a satisfactory experience across all platforms.
