Silent Hill: Townfall set for September 2026 release

Konami has revealed new gameplay footage and a release date for Silent Hill: Townfall, a standalone survival horror title developed by Screen Burn. The game is scheduled to launch on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Set on the remote Scottish island of St. Amelia, the story follows protagonist Simon Ordell as he investigates a seemingly abandoned town. The gameplay features a first-person perspective and introduces a central mechanic involving a portable television known as the CRTV, which players use to find clues and solve puzzles through unstable signals.

Director Jon McKellan and Producer Motoi Okamoto noted that the game emphasizes resource scarcity and strategic combat, drawing inspiration from earlier entries in the series like Silent Hill 2. Combat is designed to be tense; while players can use weapons like pistols, ammunition is limited and gunfire attracts attention, forcing a balance between defense and stealth.
