Silent Hill: Townfall slated for worldwide release on September 24

Konami announced that the next entry in the Silent Hill series, Silent Hill: Townfall, will launch on September 24 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The game marks the franchise’s first full‑length first‑person experience and introduces a new “CRTV” radio mechanic.

The title is being developed by the Scottish studio Screen Burn Interactive, with creative direction from Jon McKellan and publishing support from Annapurna Interactive. Producer Motoi Okamoto said the company chose to create new entries rather than rely solely on remakes, noting, “We wanted to avoid releasing just a remake to test the market, because players immediately see when a company is only probing interest.” The new games, including the upcoming Townfall, are intended to revive the series for both longtime fans and a new generation of players.
