Silesian University of Technology launches CYBEREDU cybersecurity project

The Silesian University of Technology has launched the CYBEREDU project, an initiative commissioned by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The project aims to enhance the cybersecurity competencies of staff within higher education institutions, research institutes, and scientific bodies.

This initiative is a response to new legal and technical requirements established by the European Union's NIS2 directive (Directive (EU) 2022/2555). The project focuses on supporting the higher education and science sectors in managing cybersecurity risks, ensuring business continuity, responding to incidents, and maintaining Information Security Management Systems.

To achieve these goals, the project includes specialized training sessions consisting of six in-person meetings held across five locations: Silesian University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the University of Warsaw, and the Gdańsk University of Technology. Online materials will also be provided to support the training.
