Silicon Quantum Computing appoints John Hollister as CFO

Silicon Quantum Computing (SQC) has appointed semiconductor industry veteran John Hollister as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective August 17, 2026. Hollister will oversee global financial strategy and operations as the company works toward developing universal, commercial-scale quantum computers.

Hollister brings over 25 years of financial leadership experience to the role. He previously served as CFO at GlobalFoundries and held the CFO position at Silicon Labs for 11 years. His expertise includes capital formation, M&A, financial reporting, and scaling international teams during periods of rapid growth.

SQC Founder and CEO Michelle Simmons stated that Hollister’s financial rigor is critical for advancing the company’s commercial roadmap and manufacturing technology. Hollister noted his intention to build the financial infrastructure necessary to support SQC’s growth in Australia and on a global scale.
