Silicon Valley University launches $15,000 gaming scholarships for top players
Silicon Valley University has introduced the “Max Achievement” scholarship program, offering up to $15,000 a year to gamers who achieve rare, high‑difficulty milestones in video games. The awards are open to anyone worldwide, including Italy, with no citizenship restrictions.
The program features two tiers: “Legendary,” which can provide $5,000 per quarter for three quarters, and “Master,” offering $2,500 per quarter. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional results—typically a completion rate below 1% and at least 500 hours of gameplay—such as reaching mastery level 30 in Warframe or completing all objectives in Factorio. The university aims to recognize gaming‑derived skills like strategic planning, resource optimisation, perseverance and problem‑solving as valuable for academic and professional success.
