Siloam International Hospitals to acquire 14 hospital assets for Rp 6.9 trillion
Siloam International Hospitals (SILO) has announced a major acquisition plan to transition 14 leased hospital properties into owned assets. The transaction, valued at approximately Rp 6.9 trillion, involves acquiring shares from First Real Estate Investment Trust (First REIT). The acquisition will be executed in two stages: eight properties via conditional share purchase agreements expected to close by October 2026, followed by a potential six additional properties through agreed sell options.
To fund the deal, the company plans to utilize internal funds and a syndicated loan facility, which is expected to increase SILO's bank debt to between Rp 8.8 trillion and Rp 8.9 trillion. Management stated that while the transaction may increase funding costs in the short term, it aims to provide greater control over clinical and asset strategies, reduce lease exposure, and support long-term sustainable growth through improved operational cash flow.
In related clinical developments, MRCCC Siloam Semanggi has focused on enhancing nursing competencies for multidisciplinary cancer services following its Magnet® with Distinction recognition.
