Armani Group considers splitting 15% stake among multiple investors

Following the death of founder Giorgio Armani in September 2025, the Armani Group is navigating a major transition in ownership and creative direction. CEO Giuseppe Marsocci has indicated that the initial 15% stake sale mandated by the founder's will could be split among multiple investors rather than a single entity. The will identifies LVMH, L'Oréal, and EssilorLuxottica as preferred partners, though Marsocci noted that the group is open to other players of similar industrial standing. The sale must occur within 18 months of Armani's death, with the potential for ownership to reach nearly 70% within five years or for the company to pursue an initial public offering (IPO).

On the creative front, Silvana Armani, the founder's niece, has taken the lead for the Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collection titled ‘Evolution’. Presented during Milan Fashion Week, the collection maintains the house's signature tailoring while introducing subtle shifts, such as the inclusion of cotton—a fabric Giorgio Armani famously avoided. The collection utilizes a palette of ivory, black, and gold, incorporating elements like butterflies to symbolize transformation and a nod to 1980s-inspired silhouettes.
