Silver Bow Mining names Doug Stiles as President to lead Montana projects

Silver Bow Mining (NYSE American: SBMT) announced the appointment of longtime Montana mining veteran Doug Stiles as its President. Stiles previously held senior roles at Hecla Mining, including Director of Environmental Operations and General Manager of Hecla Montana, giving him extensive experience with permitting, environmental management, water rights, Superfund projects and regulator relations.

In his new role Stiles will coordinate the operational development of Silver Bow’s projects in the historic Butte Mining District of Montana. The company holds roughly 4,193 acres of patented mining claims and about 1,410 acres of surface rights around the Rainbow Block in the district. CEO Travis Naugle said the hire, following the earlier addition of Kevin Shiell as COO, strengthens the management team and positions the company for the next exploration and development phase.
