Silver Dollar City to pause operations for 9/11 anniversary
Silver Dollar City, a theme park located in the Branson, Missouri area, has announced a park-wide pause to observe the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on Friday, September 11, 2026.
At noon, all park activities—including rides, live music, and craft demonstrations—will come to a temporary halt for two minutes. During this time, a church bell will toll, and guests and employees are invited to stand in silence. Following the pause, at 12:02 p.m., the National Anthem will be led from the Gazebo on the Square. The park will also feature an honor guard of firefighters, law enforcement, and paramedics as the American flag is raised to half-staff.
Despite the pause, the park is not closing for the day. Operations will continue as part of the scheduled Harvest Festival, and the announcement is intended as a brief, coordinated remembrance rather than a full shutdown.
