Silver Prices Plunge Amid Kiyosaki and Rogers' Bullish Forecasts
Silver futures slipped to about $55.40 per ounce, hovering at a critical technical zone and extending a sharp downtrend despite the market being technically oversold. The metal has lost more than half of its recent high, falling from $118 to $56 per ounce.
Gold experienced a similar collapse, dropping from roughly $5,405 to $4,006 per ounce—a decline of about 26%. Investor‑renowned figures Robert Kiyosaki and Jim Rogers commented on the turmoil. Kiyosaki warned that speculators often buy at peaks and sell at troughs, noting he increased his own holdings of both metals during the retracement. Rogers remained cautiously bullish, saying the long‑term upward trend will likely resume but may be uneven.
Both analysts cite broader macro pressures—rising sovereign debt, geopolitical tensions, inflationary forces and growing skepticism toward central‑bank policies—as drivers that could sustain demand for gold and silver as “real‑asset” hedges.
